Scripture for the Day (August 21, 2018)

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Ezekiel 28:13-15)

Did you know that Satan is a created being and not a creator? He is an angel that was created by God and eventually thrown out of Heaven when he tried to exalt himself above God. He does not have the ability to create anything except havoc. Just because he doesn’t have an original thought in his head does not mean he’s not cunning and smart. So, what does he do to compensate for that lack of creative ability? He copies the ways of God.

One of the most powerful structures that God has is the Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are separate and yet one. They represent the fullness of God and all of His attributes. They are three in one and are always in sync. That boggles the mind of Satan. He lusts after that type of power and therefore he has tried his best to copy and use that type system to tear down and attack the people and plans of God.

By now I should have you completely confused so let’s look at a couple of examples of what I am talking about when I talk about Satan’s fake trinity.

Do you remember when Nehemiah had returned to Jerusalem to help his people build the wall and rebuild the city? There were three men that led the opposition against Nehemiah. Those individuals were Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian. These three men (Satan’s fake trinity) did everything they could to stop this project. They were grieved that a man (Nehemiah) would come to help the people; they laughed at them to scorn; they accused Nehemiah of conspiring against the King; they even hired false prophets to spread lies against him. That my friend is a picture of Satan’s character. He is the accuser of the brethren and he will do whatever he can to sow discouragement, discord, and fear through lies, misrepresentations, and accusations. That is a fake satanic trinity!!!

Do you remember the story of Job? Satan destroyed his family and all his possessions and then sent three friends (Eliphaz, Bildad, Zophar) to convince him that it was God that killed his kids and cattle and it was all Job’s fault. Notice that Satan is not beyond using your closest friends. They tried to convince Job that he must have done something wrong to anger God. Even Job started to believe that God was the murderer because he said himself that he was going to keep on trusting God even if God killed him. The fact was that God was not trying to kill anybody but Satan was. The real telling scriptures in this whole story of Job are in Chapter 42 when Job and his three friends all had to repent for not knowing what they were talking about.

I (Job) have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I (Job) abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. And it was so, that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath. (Job 42:5-7)

If you want to really know God’s heart, look at Jesus!!! Some people still use the Book of Job to support a universal doctrine that all the attacks of the enemy are approved by God. Are you kidding me??? Here is the simple truth. God is good and the devil is bad. Jesus came to destroy the works of Satan which reveals the heart of God. The thief (Satan) comes to kill steal and destroy. Jesus comes to give us life and life more abundantly. The God that I serve does not need to use dirty tricks, sickness, poverty, death, destruction, or sin to manipulate us. He tempts no man. It is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance, not the tactics of a terrorist or mafia boss. He loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to die for us. That is the plain truth and I am sticking with it! Amen and Amen!!!
