A Nugget from New Life Network

Scripture for the Day – November 14, 2019

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)

My wife and I are on our way to Dallas TX to serve as Chaplains for one of the businesses that we work with. The Soucineks have been friends of ours for some thirty years and they are leaders in this business and have been faithful to always have a Christian presence at their meetings and have a voluntary church service on Sunday mornings.

New Life Network is a “Ministry to the Marketplace”. We did not plan, or even envision, this type of ministry, but here we are, and we love it.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

As we drive down the highway to our next assignment my wife and I are listening to praise music together and reading the scriptures to each other. It’s almost like a vacation away from all the hustle and bustle of the work and office back home. It’s really a time of refreshing for us.

I told our Church class, that we teach once a week, that two-thirds of God’s name is GO. We have always been willing to go wherever God opened a door for us to share the Gospel and God has blessed us for that. We have witnessed thousands of people come to the Lord over the last 37 years of ministry and it wasn’t due to our great anointing or our great speaking ability. Many times, we did not even speak. We were just there to help orchestrate, manage, and support the other leaders and speakers.

We have met a lot of great people over these last 37 years and we thank God for it. You just never know who God will put in your path to minister to if you are just willing to step out and go. For example, last week we received an email from a Muslim girl in Pakistan that wanted help becoming a Christian. We were able to assist her with a free Bible in her Urdu language and steer her to some resources on our website that will help her in her thirst for the truth. We are in Albany, GA receiving an email from someone in Pakistan. How crazy and great is that!!! The last email we received from this young lady said, “Thank you for your help. You will be my friend that will help me become a Christian.” How sweet is that!!!

You guys please pray for us this weekend. There are a lot of lost and hurting people that come to these business meetings. The Sunday service is a voluntary affair, but many will come because they respect the leaders. That is where they will hear the Gospel, some for the very first time. Some will give their lives to the Lord at that service and some will do it later. We just need to be obedient to do what we can to sow the seeds.

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. (1 Corinthians 3:5-7)
