Be strong confident and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them.
(Joshua 1:6 )

By Cheryl Henderson

I love the above scripture! I have always gotten so much out of what Joshua was told to do as he took over for Moses. Verses 1 thru 8 give such promises and encouragement as Joshua steps into Moses’ shoes and leads the children of Israel into the promise land.  One day I was reading the book of Joshua and I read it in the Amplified version. As I read verse 6 , I discovered something that has encouraged me to live strong and with good courage.  Be strong confident and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them.
(Joshua 1:6 )

As I read the part about causing people to inherit the land it dawned on me that as you and I follow God’s Word that we too can cause others to inherit their land. Salvation, Healing, Deliverance, Peace, Comfort, and whatever else they need.  I have always known that our testimony is holy and God uses it in a mighty way. Your testimony is simply telling others what Jesus has done in your life. It gives others hope that if God did that for you, then He would do the same for them.  The scripture says that the Joy of the Lord is our strength and our stronghold. (Nehemiah 8:10)

I want to encourage you that you are stronger than you think, and God told Joshua, actually He commanded him , to be strong and very courageous for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!  Sharing God’s Word and telling others what He has done for you will give them hope and make them stronger and give them the courage to follow the Lord.  That Word is for you today. You and I can live every day strong and courageous because all of Heaven is for us and God never leaves us! I speak over you today and say that you will lead others to inherit their
land.
