Scripture for the Day (March 28, 2016)

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its
foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! The jailer woke up to see the prison doors wide open. He assumed the prisoners had escaped, so he drew his sword to kill himself. But Paul shouted to him, “Stop! Don’t kill yourself! We are all here!” The jailer called for lights and ran to the dungeon and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” (Acts 16:25-31, NLT)

We just returned from spending Easter weekend with our oldest son, his beautiful wife, and our very special granddaughter. They have just moved into their new home, which is a miracle. This is the oldest of three sons that has kept us on our knees for many years. In the natural, he could have been in prison, but for God. He could have been living on the streets somewhere, but for God. His wife was told by doctors that she would never have children, but for God. Mortgage professionals told them they would never qualify for a home, but for God.

They now have a precious daughter and the first home of their own. I just want to take this time to thank God for His promises that extend to not only us personally but to our households. If you have never realized that, and you have a prodigal, read the following promises and claim them for your children:

I will contend with him who contends with you; and I will save your children. (Isaiah 49:25).

Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous
shall be delivered.(Proverbs 11:21).

All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. (Isaiah 54:13)

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring. They will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses. (Isaiah 44:3-4).

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me… (Psalm 138:8)

For the Promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. (Acts 2:39)

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in His Way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. (Psalm 37:23-26)

Thank You God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)
