In the world in which we live things change moment by moment. However, we know God never changes. His Word is settled forever in Heaven and He watches over it to perform it.
In the scripture when Jesus came on the scene everything changed! He became the sacrifice for us and paid the price for our sins once and for all. That meant that all the laws no longer had to be upheld by all the religious traditions. Grace was now in effect. People saw it first hand as Jesus healed the sick, delivered the demon possessed, and loved the unlovable. Jesus set us free from the law of sin and death.
The Scripture of the day has been an anchor for us as we have walked with the Lord. The world we live in is messed up, in case you haven’t noticed. That is why we are here. Ambassadors for The Kingdom. Don’t be conformed to this world and its way of doing things, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds. As Christians, we are swimming against the main stream. We are doing things the Kingdom way according to God’s Word. There is a line in the movie “The Chosen,” Jesus is talking to Matthew and he said, ” get used to different.” We are called to different. We are called to be moved by the Holy Spirit, not by peoples’ opinions or what they think of us. I encourage you today to be transformed by the renewing of your mind to God’s Word and His way of doing things. It will be different to the way of the world. Get used to different.
