Scripture for the Day (May 24, 2018)

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3)

For all those who do not fully understand spiritual warfare, you need be a fly on the wall when we are preparing to go minister at a business function. It is amazing to me how the enemy will come up with every type of distraction and hindrance he can to get under our skin. It has happened so often that we even have a name for it and that name is “Pre-Victory Tribulation”.

We are presently on the road to Dallas, TX to minister to a business group and the last few days have been just ridiculous. The enemy has thrown every road-block he can to keep us away from this meeting. If we weren’t aware of the enemy’s tactics, and familiar with what he is trying to do, we would probably not be on this road to Texas. It’s almost like the enemy can sense when he is about to lose some of his pupils. By that I mean someone is about to meet Jesus. Someone is about to get saved at this upcoming meeting and when they do the kingdom of darkness will be damaged greatly. Satan knows that so he does everything he can to stop us but greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world.

On the road today we listened to several worship albums while travelling in our ministry truck. One of those songs was “This Is How I Fight My Battles”. This is a very simple but powerful and anointed song about spiritual warfare. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God:

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

We have been given powerful tools to counteract the lies of the enemy. We have been given the Word of God and we have been given the ability to worship The Word (Jesus Christ). When we worship in spirit and in truth our enemies are scattered. You have to remember that Satan was the lead worshipper in Heaven before he was kicked out. His whole heart’s desire is for us to worship him and when we worship Jesus it drives him crazy. I think it must hurt his ears. GOOD!!!

Do you have a battle to fight today? Click on the link below and just worship the Lord with all your might. See yourself surrounded and protected by the armies of God. Resist the enemy through worship and he will flee and that’s a promise!!!
