A Nugget from New Life Network

Scripture for the Day (June 19, 2017)

He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30)

We were invited Sunday by Dr. Davis Kinney to teach his Sunday School class at Porterfield Methodist Church in Albany, GA. That was a great honor for us and we had a great time with that group of hometown folks. As we were preparing for that teaching I heard a song by the group “Mercy Me” entitled “Word of God Speak”.

I am at a place in my life where recognition and the acceptance of man are no longer important to me. What is important is that the Word of God speaks, and not Ed or Cheryl Henderson. I have to be honest, I have not always been completely there. But, I think this is a key to seeing people’s lives changed. The power resides in the Word of God and we need to let it speak.

The following is a link to the music video. We pray that this song blesses you like it blessed us:

Word of God Speak (lyrics sung by Mercy Me)

I’m finding myself at a loss for words

And the funny thing is it’s okay

The last thing I need is to be heard

But to hear what You would say

Word of God speak

Would you pour down like rain

Washing my eyes to see

Your majesty

To be still and know

That you’re in this place

Please let me stay and rest

In your holiness

Word of God speak

I’m finding myself in the midst of You

Beyond the music, beyond the noise

All that I need is to be with You

And in the quiet hear Your voice

I’m finding myself at a loss for words

And the funny thing is it’s okay

I’m finding myself at a loss for words

And the funny thing is it’s okay
