Scripture of the Day

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4

So many Christians give the Lord a casual “thank you” at the start of their prayer, just as a prelude to the “real” business of asking God for things. That reminds me of someone who tips their hat to a stranger and then asks for a handout. God doesn’t appreciate that sort of “courtesy”!

Let’s make sure we start our prayer with genuine praise of God. Let’s praise Him for being Who He is. Praise Him, and praise what He has done in your life. Praise Him for what He has promised to do in the future. Put our petitions out of your mind for the time and just focus your thoughts on God and let the PRAISES FLOW!

The psalmist said, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name” (Ps. 100:4). That’s good advice right there.

As we head into 2022 let’s come in with Hands lifted in praise to the one true King and with our Eyes Wide Open to see all the new and fresh opportunities that await us.

Enter in 2022 with THANKSGIVING & PRAISE!!!
