Scripture for the Day (November 17,2020)

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)
Appreciate The Differences

Have you ever thought of how different the Body of Christ is? God has given every person special gifts and talents. He has created us all different in gifts, different in appearance, different in size, color, and creed. But God does not look at appearance He looks at the heart. God never judges us by our outward appearance but by our heart. We tend to judge by appearances which is where we go
wrong. The very person that you write off due to appearance may be the very person God wants to use in your life.

For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. (1 Corinthians 12:14-23)

I will never forget the story I read about in a biography by a famous Evangelist. He said he was doing extended revival meetings in a large church and one night, after a long day, he just wanted to get back to his room and rest. As he was walking out the door a Polish woman that was cleaning the church stopped him and asked to speak to him. The evangelist said he thought to himself that he was tired and did not want to talk to anyone else. He did stop however and reluctantly spoke with the woman. To his amazement this old Polish wash woman began to prophesy to him in broken English and the words that she spoke to him that night changed is life.

God has servants sprinkled all through our life to help guide us. I just wonder how many we overlook, miss or discount, because we are looking at outward appearances? We need the entire Body of Christ, every member, to accomplish everything God wants us to accomplish!
