“A call to all Christians to come out of their caves”

How many of you are concerned with the way our nation has gone for the last 50 years? How many of you feel like our nation has been slowly stripped of our Christian heritage and our commitment to Godly principles? How many of you are tired of political correctness, moments of silence, the removal of God from our schools and businesses, and the USA being known as the chief exporter of pornography versus the chief exporter of the Gospel?

“If religious books are not widely circulated among the masses in this country, I do not know what is going to become of us as a nation. If truth be not diffused, error will be; If God and His Word are not known and received, the devil and his works will gain ascendancy. If the evangelical volume does not reach every hamlet, the pages of a corrupt and licentious literature will; If the power of the Gospel is not felt throughout the length and breadth of the land, anarchy and misrule, degradation and misery, corruption and darkness will reign without mitigation or end.” (Daniel Webster , US Secretary of State 1850-52, US Senator from Massachusetts 1845-1850, Lawyer )

If you are truly tired of watching this country go down the road of self-destruction then it is time to come out of your caves and be silent no more! Your cave could be your church, your ministry, or your business. For the most part Christian believers have adopted a bunker mentality and are trying to just make a living for their family, go to church, keep their heads down, and quietly exist without being verbally assaulted, ridiculed, fired or sued. We are coming very close to becoming a nation that is ashamed of the Gospel!

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mark 8:38, KJV)

It is time to do what we are called to do and join together with believers all across this nation and take back the United States of America!

We have always tried to teach our sons that the Bible is the best place to go for instruction in times like these when we need to make major decisions. There is nothing new under the sun and God has given us a great instruction manual for our benefit and direction. So the first thing we want to do in this article is to see how God handled a similar situation in years past and after that we want to suggest a new but old fashioned, hard-working, legal, and non-violent way to implement those same principles in our present culture.

“If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering and to prosper; but if we and our posterity neglect its instruction and authority, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity.” (Daniel Webster)

USA FlagWe find in the Bible that this is not the first attempt made to systematically remove God and his prophets from a culture and nation. Nearly 3000 years ago King Ahab and his wife Jezebel ushered in the worship of Baal

in the Northern Kingdom of Israel. Baal was a Sun God believed to be responsible for fertility (sexual activity), crop production (business), and control of the weather which helped crops grow (commerce). Baal worship included the sacrifice of newborns by their parents and prostitution of their young daughters in the temples. The parents were required to personally place their newborns in the furnace and show no emotion while drums would beat louder and louder to drown out the cries of the baby. Sound familiar? We have a better, more humane way to do it today. We just do it in the womb so we don’t hear the cries. That is called progress by some people.

They tried to kill all the prophets of Jehovah while establishing the worship of Baal. However, they were not able (and never will be able) to kill all the prophets of God. Obadiah (a governor in the House of Ahab) hid 100 of these prophets in caves and fed them with bread and water (I Kings 18:13, KJV). This was the first time we see a glimpse that there was still a remnant (even in the highest places of Government) that believed and was willing to risk their livelihood for their beliefs. There was also a man named Elijah (whose name means “whose God is Jehovah”) that was very grieved at what he saw. Elijah was not a well-known or famous man. In fact, he was a man just like you and me. (James 5:17, KJV – “Elias (Elijah) was a man subject to like passions (similar in character) as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on earth by the space of three years and six months”.) As a believer, you have more power than you think!

But Elijah was willing to risk it all and follow God’s direction. He confronted Ahab and prophesied that it would not rain (I Kings 17:1, KJV), which directly challenged the belief that Baal (sometimes known as the storm God) had the power over the weather. God then instructed Elijah to hide himself at the brook Cherith where he would be fed by the ravens. When the brook dried up God instructed him to go to a widow woman at Zarepath where he would be sustained. The little portion of food the widow had saved for her and her son was miraculously multiplied and when the widow’s son became ill and died Elijah raised him from the dead with his anointed prayers.

After three years God instructed Elijah to confront Ahab again and tell him it would now rain (I Kings 18:1, KJV). The first question Ahab asked Elijah during this confrontation was “Art thou he that troubleth Israel?” We see the same pattern of thinking in our own time. It is those Christian conservatives and their hate speech and homophobic attitudes that is the real problem.

“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.” (George Orwell)

Elijah answered “I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou have followed Baalim” (I Kings 18:8, KJV). That is exactly where we are today in the United States of America. Our founding Fathers knew the importance of worshiping God and the blessings that flowed from that.

“Finally, let us not forget the religious character of our origin. Our fathers were brought hither by their high veneration for the Christian religion. They journeyed by its light, and labored in its hope. They sought to incorporate its principles with the elements of their society, and to diffuse its influence through all their institutions, civil, political, or literary.” (Daniel Webster)

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. (Deuteronomy 28:1-6)

This is when Elijah challenged the 450 false prophets of Baal and 400 false prophets of the groves to a duel of the sacrifices. Each prepared a bullock for sacrifice on an altar and was to call on their God for fire from Heaven to consume their sacrifice. The false prophets went first and called on Baal all day with no success. When Elijah called on his God (Jehovah) a fierce fire came down from Heaven and burned up the sacrifice and the altar. Elijah had asked the onlookers at the beginning of this challenge “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him” (I Kings 18:21, KJV). That same question is being asked of us today! When the people saw the fire from Heaven they all fell on their face and said “the Lord, he is God”. The people then rose up with Elijah and helped slay all 850 false prophets. This is the second time you see the people rising up to return to God. They knew all along that Baal worship was wrong but they felt there was nothing they could do about it. They just felt powerless against the House of Ahab (their own government).

This is where Elijah makes his first mistake. Can you imagine the adrenalin flowing after this huge conquest? Can you imagine what he was thinking? The most dangerous time is after a major victory. You see it in sports over and over again. We begin to think more highly of ourselves than we ought. Pride cometh before a fall. Elijah did not wait on the Word of the Lord but outran Ahab to Jezreel where he planned to confront Jezebel. He was sure this was the time to destroy Jezebel and the House of Ahab. The only problem was, God never instructed him to do that! Ahab told his wife what Elijah had done and Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to tell him that she was going to kill him just like he killed all her prophets. Elijah was overcome with fear and ran f or his life (I Kings 19:1-3, KJV). This is the same man that prayed for it not to rain and it did not rain for three and one half years. This is the same man that was fed by ravens and raised the dead son of the widow woman. This was the same man that had just killed 850 false prophets and called down fire from Heaven. If you have the Word of the Lord, it will always drive out fear. If you are strictly operating on ego and adrenalin, you will open yourself up to fear.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; b ut of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (II Timothy 1:7, KJV)

USA FlagElijah ran off and hid in the wilderness, sank into depression (woe is me), and asked God to just kill him. During this pity party an angel came to Elijah and supplied a meal and told him to eat “because the journey is too great for thee” (I Kings 19:7, KJV). Elijah went on that long journey and ended up hiding in a cave at the end of that trip. This is where we are today in the USA. We are in our caves. The Church of Jesus Christ is in a cave! The prophets of the Lord are in a cave! The business leaders and military commanders that love the Lord are in their caves! The church is divided by religious doctrines and politics and our Godly power has been diluted. We have been silenced by political correctness and the threats of lawsuits.

God spoke to Elijah in the cave, just like He is speaking to us now. “What doest thou here, Elijah?” (I Kings 19:13, KJV). What are you doing in this cave? Elijah responded by saying I am the only one left Lord that loves you and they are trying to kill me. God told Elijah that he was not the only one left. God said I have 7000 that have not bowed their knee to Baal. You cannot extinguish the love of the Lord in people’s hearts by legislation, politics, or laws. God always has a remnant! Now here is a major key to changing a nation. God told Elijah to get out of his cave and go find three particular men and anoint them with oil. These three men were Haziel, Jehu, and Elisha. Haziel (Hebrew name = to have a vision of) was to be anointed to be King over Syria. Jehu (Hebrew name = Jehovah seized) was to be anointed to be King over Israel. Elisha (Hebrew name = the God of supplication and riches) was to be anointed to be the prophet that would take over for Elijah and do twice as many miracles as Elijah after Elijah was taken to Heaven in God’s chariot of fire.

What we need to see here is God’s strategy to change a nation. He used a man (Elijah) that is just like you and me. This man was not perfect. He missed the mark sometimes, became too impressed with himself, got ahead of God, and was subject to fits of depression and fear. God loved him anyway and used him mightily. He will use you mightily also. Remember what the angel told Elijah “the journey is too great for thee”. In context it appears this is just talking about physical nourishment for the long journey he was about to embark on but spiritually it meant much more. What God was saying to Elijah when he told him to get out of his cave and find these three men to anoint was basically “the journey is too great for thee”. You are not going to be able to do this alone. I have other people that are called and anointed to do wh at you cannot do so get off your butt, get out of your cave, and start building my Army.

Jehu, one of the men God told to anoint, is a prime example. He was a commander (Captain) in the Army of Ahab. Some historical accounts say that he was commander of an elite group that was personally responsible for the protection of King Ahab, similar to our Secret Service. Jehu was known for his furious driving of chariots and was obviously a warrior to be respected and feared.

Elijah was obedient to find and anoint Elisha (a farmer), as God had instructed, and trained him to be his successor. However, Elijah was not obedient to personally anoint Hazael or Jehu. Hazael was eventually anointed by Elisha and the anointing of Jehu was a very different story altogether. We see in II Kings 9:1-10, KJV an account of the important anointing of Jehu. Elisha chose one of his young prophets in training to do this task. The young prophet was told to go find Jehu (Captain and Commander of Ahab’s Army) and take him off to a private place (away from his troops) and anoint him with oil as the next King of Israel. The young prophet was told to turn and run as soon as the anointing was complete. It is obvious from the instructions to the young prophet, and the delay and delegation from Elijah to Elisha to the youngster, that they were probably all afraid of Jehu. This was Ahab’s commander! They did not know how he would react. Th e young unnamed prophet did exactly as he was instructed but when it came time for him to turn and run he stood strong under the anointing of God and kept prophesying to Jehu. This prophesy was critical in changing a nation! He prophesied that Jehu was the one that was anointed to bring down the entire House of Ahab and Jezebel (II Kings 9:5-10). Now we see why Elijah ran from Jezebel in fear. Elijah was never the one to confront Jezebel. Jehu had been called and anointed by God for this very time and very moment (II Chronicles 22:7, KJV).

Jehu went forth immediately with his Army and confronted Jezebel. He called upon three of Jezebel’s servants and they threw her out the window and Jehu trampled her with the horses of his chariot. (This is the third time we see a hunger for God coming forth from the people, even the closest servants of Jezebel.) This sincere love of God had been repressed but it was still there. These were the closes t servants of Jezebel and you can imagine what they had witnessed and experienced at her hand. They knew in their hearts that what she stood for was wrong but they did not see a way out. They just needed some Godly leadership. Jehu then went forth after killing Jezebel and wiped out the entire House of Ahab.

There are a lot of great lessons we can learn from all these events that relate to changing our nation. The following are just a few:

God always has a remnant. They just need a rallying point and some leadership.

There is an Army of believers in the USA that could change the nation if they would just lay down their traditions and doctrines. The traditions of man makes the Word of God of no effect (Mark 7:13).

The key leaders of this Army are visionaries; businessmen; entrepreneurs; government leaders; military commanders; and anointed ministers. It has not changed since Hazael, Jehu, Elisha and Elijah. The people will follow with the right leadership and the Word of the Lord. They just need to see a way out.

Faith and patience inherit the promises. It took approximately six years for these three anointings to be finalized. This is not a sprint. It is a marathon.

We have to get out of our caves and join together.

We have to be careful to do according to the Word of the Lord and not outrun God.

We have to realize that this is an ongoing war. We have an enemy and it is not Russia, Iran or a particular politician or political party. Our enemy is Satan and this war will never end while we are still alive but we can affect this country if we rally together. It does not matter what denomination or non-denomination you are from as long as you believe in Jesus as the Son of God and believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. The power of God is perfected and multiplied in unity. One can chase a thousand but two can chase ten thousand (Deut. 32:30, KJV).

Knowing what we know now, what do we do with all this? How do we change our nation that appears to be so committed to expelling Christian values and beliefs from our society? Jesus said it best in the Gospel of John with his last prayer for you and me:

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. (John 17:14-23)

American EagleOver the last 20-30 years we have witnessed some para church and conservative political organizations sprout up and have some small amount of success in bringing Christians together to present a united front. A few examples of these type organizations have included Promise Keepers, the Moral Majority, The Christian Coalition and more recently the Tea Party. All of these organizations reached across denominational lines and encouraged Christians to come together as one to help build an Army that would have political influence and power to fight the fight that we are talking about. As good and honorable as each of these efforts has been, we are still losing the war.

There is a brand new organization that is being launched that could very well be the answer we have all been waiting for. The name of this organization is USA Association (Ultimate Success America Association) which is founded by several very successful Christian businessmen. It is a Premier Members Benefit Organization WITH A CAUSE. That cause is to stand for Faith, Family and Free Enterprise and Take Back the USA. You can read more about their vision, goals and foundational scriptures at www.usaassoc.com or at www.takebacktheusa.com. The vision of this organization is to go toe to toe with liberal leaning organizations like AAA, Progressive Insurance, AARP and others, who spend millions of dollars each year supporting and lobbying for liberal causes. It will take time and thousands of committed members to turn the tide but we can do it if we become one. This organization has the leadership and passion to turn this country around. We do not have to stay in our caves! We are calling on Christian CEOs and servants, prophets and farmers, visionaries and entrepreneurs. If you love God, we need you to come out of your cave and join this Army of believers. We do not have to be ashamed! We do not have to be afraid! If God be for us, who can be against us. It is time for all patriots and warriors to arise. We need people that are not ashamed of the Gospel and are willing to go to war spiritually. We can turn this country around. It’s not too late!

“The blessing and protection of Heaven are at all times necessary but especially so in times of public distress and danger. The General hopes and trusts that every officer and man will endeavor to live and act as becomes a Christian soldier, defending the dearest rights and liberties of his country.” (General George Washington, Commander-In-Chief of the Continental Army, 1st President of the United States 1775-1797)

“If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”(Samuel Adams, 4th Governor of Massachusetts 1794)

“When our forefathers knelt and prayed for wisdom at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, then stood up and together assembled a seventeen-page document known as the Constitution of the United States of America, they were clearly guided by the hand of God. Today the forces of political correctness would expel God from every public sphere in American life, and the hearts and minds of every man, woman, and child in America are up for grabs in this cataclysmic battle between the lovers of men and the lovers of God. Some would rather never choose between the two, but life is full of choices, and our individual and collective choices determine the quality of our existence. I believe it is time for us to stand up and be counted. We can no longer be passive because the Judeo-Christian way of life in America is at stake. We need not be ashamed of our faith, and we certainly should not allow those who believe differently to change who we are in order to be politically correct.” (Dr. Ben Carson from the book America the Beautiful)

Thank you for your patience in reading this lengthy article. We just felt it was very important to let all our supporters know what we are doing and why. We have been in ministry for 32 years and whatever time we have left will be dedicated to the United States of America.

God Bless the USA,
